mont.jpg  A Primary School Class in Montenegro Teachers in the central European state of Montenegro are threatening to go on strike at the beginning of the new term if the government goes ahead with its plans to cut their salaries Montenegro withdrew from its alliance with  Serbia in 2006 and its government has been pursuing neo-liberal privatisation policies in an attempt to satisfy the IMF and the World Bank. However it is being severely effected by the world economic crisis. Meanwhile in neighbouring Serbia teachers are also threatening to go on strike from the 1st September over the non-payment of salaries and new neo-liberal education policies which will change the way schools are funded.
