korblog2.jpg  Protesting Teachers Arrested in South Korea Members of the South Koran Teachers and Education Workers union have been arrested following protests Members of the 76,000 strong teachers union had signed a petition demanding the defence of quality education in South Korea and respect for human rights. As a result 10 leaders of the union have been dismissed and 78 suspended. The resultant protests led to the arrest of 16 members of the union.
