An elementary Classroom in the Solomon Islands Teachers in the Solomon Islands will be discussing strike action this Thursday The teachers are owed money dating back to February of last year and say they will strike if it is not forthcoming. Teachers and parents are also questioning the distribution of grants to schools and urging the government to ensure that they are being properly audited and accounted for. The Solomon Islands National Teachers Association is also demanding that council officials suspected of stealing money from the teachers' travel budget be sacked.
