A Class in Sudan Teachers in Sudan have been on strike for three weeks Primary teachers in the Jonglei area of Sudan have joined their colleagues in Bor and have been on strike for three weeks demanding to be paid the housing allowances which are owed to them. Meanwhile the government has suspended all allowances to government employees - saying that they have no money to pay them. Teachers in Sudan receive a monthly salary equivalent to $114 without the housing allowances which they are entitled to.
