egitimsen.jpg Egitim Sen Demonstration in Turkey  Turkish teachers' union Egitim Sen has conducted a survey of teachers which identified low wages and sexism as being major problems for its members Over 80% of respondents to the survey thought that salaries were inadequate and 68% of men and 57% of women were considering taking an extra job to make ends meet. However another big problem was 'the sexist division of labour within the society and the family.' This was a problem not only at work but in the union itself.
