The TeacherSolidarity Research Collaborative supports the broader aims of TeacherSolidarity.  We are a group of academics and activists engaged in research relating to teachers’ work, teacher unions and critical perspectives of education policy.  Many of us work in universities but involvement in the Collaborative is encouraged from all those active in teacher unions and community campaigns.  We seek to overcome the artificial divide between those inside and outside of academia.

The Research Collaborative seeks to:

  • encourage research that takes a critical perspective on teachers’ work, teacher unions and the neoliberal restructuring of education in its local, national, and global iterations.

  • support the work of others, academics and activists, who want to develop a research-engaged approach to challenging the neoliberal restructuring of education.

  • identify and circulate scholarship that may be helpful in informing the work of other scholars and  activists committed to the aims of TeacherSolidarity.

The Collaborative’s work is still developing.  Its initial project is the compilation of a repository of currently published research relating to teachers’ work, teacher unions and the neoliberal restructuring of education.  If you have material you wish to contribute to the repository you can find full details .

Full details of the Repository’s launch will be available on this site in due course.
